In the mood...

Something I've realized about blogging is that you have to be in the right mood, or mindset to put together a good and "readable" post. not saying i've accomplished either, but i've finally mustered up the correct 'mood' to hopefully at least entertain us both.

i finally have a job!! it's working for a pool company here in houston that builds community and personal pools and also supplies lifeguards for those community pools. i guess i will be doing some sort of HR ('human resources', for those of you who needed that)...not really sure yet, but i'm excited to finally have something to do! the job doesn't start until March 29th, a week after cari jo and her pals come and go and the week of our moving date! Semi-good timing, but i'm not complaining.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, tomorrow, to AUSTIN!!!
aaaand tuesday to my wonderful husband. (he doesn't get all caps because it's still a few days away) the day before tyler's birthday marks the one-year anniversary of our first date (Awww...oohhh...preeciouuuusss [you're all saying])...we went to lunch after church at Mimi's Cafe in colorado springs and i couldn't eat my muffin that tyler recommended i order, so i brought it home and gave it to my sugar-loving roommate, amanda. (it was the least i could do, since i give her and ashlie the credit for coaxing me to go out with him)

i think i've officially worn-out my welcome at our local super target. i love any super target. it has to be super, though, or hardly worth the trip...anywho. today is thursday. i've been to super target three times this week, trying to stay longer than an hour each time.
oh, with what one chooses to occupy her time. i've walked away only with a few things, all necessary too. (as in: no shoes, clothes, or purses...although today their cute new scarves were especially tempting) i've also gone to two different ross and marshall's stores, one old navy, one forever21, and one bed, bath and beyond.

the weather is particularly gorgeous this week. clear skies and sunny temperatures. well i bet you're wondering when you'll be getting pictures, eh? here ya go! this is what ty and i were up to this past weekend...

(and again i've managed to ruin my picture posting...oh well...)
so since tyler and i consider ourselves this year's biggest olympic nerds, we decided on the last weekend to allow our friends to share in our obsession (well actually, ty's friend zack came into town and in an effort to hang out with him, we made it a group event) so here are our lovely and very patriotic sugar cookies...
aaand our decorations. i know what you're saying...the canadian flag, blah blah blah (and don't worry, we too noticed the size comparison against the USA flag...) i think we were going for the "North American" theme...and i would also like to point out our red and blue light bulbs, courtesy of zack and my's adventure on the streets of houston...
so fortunately for me, i was not alone last friday since zack came to town thursday night...our day hanging out started at the early hour of 9AM (only because i missed his called at 8...) after making lunch for our significant others, we ventured around westheimer road in midtown...full of antique-y shops and maybe a few second-hand places...we decided to stop at a flower shop and it turned out to be the best decision, since these flowered creatures were waiting to greet us.
zack had some fun, too.

thank you, again, for listening to my meaningless rants. i hope you enjoyed your visit. things to stay tuned for in the future:
tyler's birthday...
cari and friends' trip to houston...
rodeo and concert trip...
and much later...MOVING DAY!

Oh Dani I love reading your posts! When I try to blog I am smacked in the face with the realization that I am an engineer and not a writer and that there is a stark difference between the two (i.e. interesting vs. not). Oh, good job on the job. Your life sounds so fun right now. I still can't believe you're a married woman. *sigh*

PS I am signing this under eric's google b/c I don't have google.
