Photos, explained...

I suppose I owe an explanation...
about a few of those prior pictures...
First, my husband, since NYE is our anniversary, has bought me (for the last 3 years) a dress I can wear out on our anni. So the RED is my anni dress, and since Wichita Falls didn't lend itself to much use, I plan on wearing that dress again ASAP.
I was also in the hospital over Christmas break. To be exact, I was in the hospital/ER/clinic for the first time in my life. It was the weirdest thing. I woke up the day we were taking our big ski trip to Copper Mtn with a dead foot. AKA I couldn't move my toes, lift my foot, flex anything in my right foot/ankle. We drove to the mtns anyways and after many futile attempts of getting my foot in my brand new ski boots ;( gave up and called my physical therapist aunt. After one highly encouraged clinic visit (and two stumped physicians), they rushed me to an MRI appt at the closest ER/hospital in Frisco, CO, where I went through my first (and hopefully only) back and brain MRI. I also had blood drawn in hopes of finding out what was wrong with my "drop foot". With no avail, I was sent home hours later in a walking boot, hoping to avoid another sprained ankle as a result of having little to no feeling in my foot (and NO back/neck/etc pain anywhere) and crossed fingers it would feel better in a week or so.
And yes, the foot is better. I can move my toes and my ankle but still feel the numb tingle in my lower leg (uncomfortable, yes) Not perfect yet and if it's not 100% by the time I get home to Sheppard on Monday I will likely be back at the dr's office.
But so far, I've enjoyed being with Tyler before I have to get back to work at "home", even though it won't feel like home because by the time Ty gets there, we'll be moving to Tucson. But at least Ada will be around. The town we're in now has nothing against Wichita Falls, something I never thought I'd say. Venturing around the town and a few restaurants only left me feeling sorry for my husband and glad for myself.
I hope you all have had a good holiday break! I hope to be back soon via blogging as soon as I get home on Sunday/Monday. Thanks for checking in! And cheers to 2013 and the many exciting things it will bring!
