it doesn't take me much to be entertained. monday night, some quality trash television and a pair of sweatpants and i'm good. fortunately (for him), my husband isn't here to quickly move to a different room while i sit through two painstakingly dramatic hours of the bachelorette.
today wasn't as productive as i had hoped it would be. i did get started with some 'schoolwork' and worked/sweated a bit outside. other than that, i got frustrated with my sewing machine, paced the living room and made a list of things i need in the outside world, when i get around to it. not really bored, or lonely, i guess...just lacking some motivation (so far, season 8 of friends has kept me more than occupied...don't tell my husband...)
allow me to fill you in on a treasure that tyler and i found at some garage sale when we first moved here (i say that like it was so long ago...if you're not keeping track, we're just past a month in this house)
so this is just a cute little table, but it is perfect for the landing on our staircase...tyler sanded it down real good and took a layer off the top. but we need suggestions...we love the colors coming from the bottom part but don't know how we can make the top look good to match it. any help?!
this is what it looks like now with a little decoration. i loooove that picture frame from my mother in law and i love that i see it every time i walk up the stairs. i first thought i'd hang it, but i sort of like it just leaning. hmm...
well there ya have it! there are storm and heat advisories tonight, but all i see are clear skies. stayed tuned later for more projects/pictures. goodnight!

I would paint the top and while it's still well wipe some of it off with a rag...that might work? I love the table, super cute! Very shabby chic.
Ooh, pretty. I love it. It's very shabby chic.
i LOVE the way you sanded it! i say leave it the way it is. :)
